Media Literacy Week highlights the importance of teaching children and teens digital and media literacy skills to ensure their interactions with media are positive and enriching. This exciting initiative has grown tremendously in reach over the past nine years and now involves more than a hundred collaborators and thousands of participants from across Canada and internationally who celebrate the week with engaging activities in their communities — both online and off. Leading up to and during the week, schools, educational and community organizations, libraries and parent- and youth-based groups organize and promote a wide range of activities and events.
